		<description>Normally sand returning to your pool means you need a sand change but if this has already been done then i think there is something wrong with the filter. 15 years is a fair age for a filter, you might have a crack in it or need to replace an o&#039;ring.

Just make sure that you did put filter sand in there as most other sands are too fine and will return into the pool with each backwash.

There also may be some sort of an orifice plate on the inlet to restric t flow, may be gone or badly worn. A valve placed prior to the inlet may be used for throttling flow throttling</description>
