Do urine detecting chemicals for swimming pools exist? Where can I find them?

I have heard quite a few people talk about chemicals that will make a red or purple cloud in the water when someone pees in the pool, is this correct? I have never seen the chemicals myself, only heard of them. Do they exist? Is there a website on the internet that sells them? Thanks!

These chemicals do not exist. There is so much chlorine in pools that no chemical could differentiate between the chlorine and urine.

I guess. I’ve seen lifeguards do it after the pool closes. It did turn red and purple. But where to get them, dunno…sorry!!!!!

If you are talking about a public pool then there is no need for chemicals – you can guarantee some dirty swine has peed in it. If it’s for a garden pool, then just don’t *** in it!
Phenolphthalein would turn the pool red, then there would be clear patches whenever anyone peed. However, everyone getting in the water would instantly crap themselves inside out, as Phenolphthalein is a stupidly strong laxative.

Nope. Urban myth. Don’t exist and you can’t get them. Sorry to bust your bubble.

Contrary to what anyone has told you, this is what I consider an urban legend. There is NO such thing. People say this I believe to keep people from ****** int heir private pools. My neighbor used to have a sign on their pool that said
We do not swim in your toilet, please do not *** in our pool.
